Black Author’s Expo is holding it’s first Black Author’s Award. Host by Alexandria natives, Roberta Elliott Speight and Lynn Nelson. Their goal is to create a community platform that will promote awareness of African American Authors.

The Deadline for entry is August 31, 2018. The announcing of the winner will be in conjunction with the Black Author’s Expo.
Join us Saturday, October 13th (11am – 5pm) at Dunbar Alexandria Boys & Girls Club located at 401 North Payne St, Alexandria, VA 22314

The second biennial Black Author’s Expo! The expo was started by Alexandria natives, Roberta Elliott Speight and Lynn Nelson. Their goal is to create a community platform that will promote awareness of African American Authors and small businesses.

They are passionate about providing opportunities for black authors to not only showcase their talent but to also inspire and educate future generations. This event will also feature a guest panel of speakers, publishers, vendors, music, prizes, and fun!
