WASHINGTON (CIRCA) – Back in 2016, the Smithsonian opened the National Museum of African American History and Culture, showcasing the trials and tribulations of black America. Now, there is a museum highlighting the accomplishments of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

The HBCU Museum opened earlier this year with the goal of showing off everything these colleges and their graduates have achieved over the years. The museum is located in Washington, D.C., just a few blocks away from Howard University, which is considered the “Mecca” of HBCUs because it’s considered the most prestigious among them.
