Bradley Beal made history on Saturday night.

With 4:42 left in the fourth quarter against the Raptors, Beal made his 869th career three-pointer and in doing so passed Gilbert Arenas for first all-time in Wizards/Bullets franchise history.

Beal, just 25, now tops a list that includes Antawn Jamison (646) in third and John Wall (489) and Chris Whitney (489) tied for fourth. For Arenas, Jamison and Whitney, those are only the threes they made in a Wizards uniform.

Beal set the new mark just two games into his seventh NBA season. He has made at least 100 threes in each of the past five years. That is also a franchise record.

Beal is likely to set a high bar when it’s all said and done. He is under contract with the Wizards through the 2020-21 season and is on a historic pace.

Only eight players made more threes through their first six NBA seasons than Beal. That list includes some of the best three-point marksmen of all-time like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Ray Allen.
