Friendship Heights-based Hera Hub DC is investing more resources into women entrepreneurs.

With locations in Phoenix, San Diego and elsewhere, Hera Hub is a woman-focused coworking space and incubator. Hera Hub was founded in 2011 for entrepreneurial women to create and collaborate in a professional, “spa-inspired” environment. The D.C. space opened up in 2015.

Last spring, Hera Hub DC started the Hera Launch program to help women entrepreneurs kickstart their business ventures.

“Although the formal program started last year, we’ve been teaching the content since we opened almost five years ago through workshops, member programs and one-on-one consultation,” Hera Hub DC CEO Julia Westfall told Technical.ly.

An Author Talk w/Comedian Tommy Davidson

March 14th | 5PM

MahoganyBooks proudly presents a special book event with actor, comedian, Tommy Davidson. Join us for an insightful discussion featuring Tommy’s new book, Living in Color: What’s Funny About Me.
In 1990, Tommy Davidson burst onto the scene in the Emmy Award-winning show In Living Color, a pioneering sketch comedy show, featuring a multi-racial cast of actors and dancers who spoke to an underrepresented new generation created by Hip Hop Nation. In this revealing memoir, Tommy shares his unique perspective on making it in Hollywood, being an integral part of television history, on fame and family, and on living a life that has never been black and white–just funny and true.

There may also be a special guest or two.
