Underground Railroad Bazaar Under the Stars, debuts at Winter Motherland 

Friday 11/15, 11/29, & 12/13

To jumpstart the Winter Motherland festival celebration, PGAAMCC will debut Underground Railroad: Bazaar Under the Stars on Friday, November 15th at 5pm presented by Chocolate City Rocks.

The “Underground Railroad: Bazaar Under the Stars” will bring a festive spirit of shopping, celebration and diaspora vibes, featuring a curated selection of vendors, food, and crafts in the museum’s outdoor pavilion. The Underground Railroad: Bazaar Under the Stars is designed to be a vibrant and lively destination where people can pick up a bite to eat, enjoy a bit of retail therapy, and jump start the weekend with neighbors, future friends and fellow County residents. Located at 4519 Rhode Island Avenue. North Brentwood MD 20722, The $5 entry fee comes with a raffle ticket, and there is no charge for ages 15 & under. Live performances, vendors, music and food will contribute to a jubilant spirit of shopping, celebration, and diaspora vibes in the outdoor pavilion.

The bazaar will run throughout the holiday months occurring Friday, November 29th and December 13th.

Winter Motherland is the first festival of its kind in the region, inviting everyone to gather together for a f6 week slate of events, exhibitions, and programs. This spectacular indoor / outdoor celebration showcases art, music performances, holiday movies, hot cocoa bar, games, food and pictures with Black Santa, all situated in our unique ‘Buy Black’ Vendor Village’ for must have holiday shopping. If you’re looking for a vibrant welcoming local space to gather, buy black, give back and get cultured, catch the spirit of the Holiday season at Winter Motherland.

PGAAMCC is excited to curate Winter Motherland a season-long holiday festival that’s fun, affordable, and convenient. The Winter Motherland festival is taking place at PGAAMCC is ‘A Home For Black Excellence’ located at 4519 Rhode Island Avenue. North Brentwood MD 20722. Visitors can partake Tuesdays through Saturdays beginning November 15th. Those who want to pick up holiday gifts and support local artisans and entrepreneurs will enjoy shopping at Underground Rail Road Bazaar Under the Stars some Fridays and Vendor Village on every Saturday. 

Ever proud to serve as an available space for the community, PGAAMCC is available for holiday party space rentals. The 3-gallery cultural center is a venue for company events, organizational meetings, social gatherings and more this holiday season. Located just 1 mile from Washington DC’s border, easy to get to for tourists, locals and Maryland and Virginia residents. Vendors are welcomed.
